uvex i-gonomics: uvex pheos cx2 sonic wide-vision goggles

With its compact, lightweight design, the uvex pheos cx2 sonic is suitable for a whole host of applications. These functional wide-vision goggles offer impressive comfort and, thanks to uvex supravision coating technology, provide a clear field of vision even in extreme climates.

Weighing just 34 grams, the uvex pheos cx2 sonic is the lightest wide-vision goggle in the uvex range! The goggles provide a comprehensive level of protection thanks to flexibly adaptable soft components. The uvex duo component technology and the forehead and nose piece moulded directly onto the lens guarantee a customised fit. The X-tended eyeshield – which has already been tried and tested with the uvex pheos cx2 safety spectacles – completely covers the eye area.

Thanks to their compact design, the goggles can easily be worn together with helmets as well as respiratory and hearing protection. With the uvex supravision extreme coating, the lens is scratch-resistant on the outside and has anti-fog protection on the inside. In addition, the lens has high mechanical strength and can withstand small objects travelling up to 120 metres per second (B marking).

uvex i-gonomics – Innovation through relief
The uvex pheos cx2 sonic is part of the innovative uvex i-gonomics product system, which combines relevant safety features with outstanding ergonomic characteristics and makes them scientifically measurable. uvex i-gonomics includes products that have been developed largely based on ergonomic findings. To make it possible to monitor and compare products with regard to wearer comfort, uvex has introduced the so-called “Relief Index”.   The Relief Index consists of three coefficients, which together, as a mean value, define the “relief factor” of a product. This enables uvex to produce maximum comparability – even across different product types and manufacturers. Relief is measured in three different categories: “force”, “weight” and “clima”. In doing so, uvex of course takes the disparate properties of the different product types into account – and so the test methods used within the measuring categories vary accordingly.
